Lifecore Biomedical is a contract development and manufacturing organization based in Minnesota that specializes in the development and cGMP manufacturing of complex formulations and sterile injectable pharmaceutical products across multiple modalities, with particular expertise in hyaluronic acid derived from proprietary fermentation processes. The company manufactures pharmaceutical-grade hyaluronic acid in bulk and formulated syringes and vials for customer injectable products used in ophthalmic and orthopedic applications, and has expanded to develop highly viscous non-hyaluronic acid sterile injectable products. Lifecore operates three cGMP facilities equipped with automated aseptic filling lines and isolators to support the production of FDA-approved commercial drug and device products for synthetic and biologic modalities.
